Chris is an international lawyer having worked in the offshore industry and lived in the British Virgin Islands since 1990.
Chris is an English solicitor with over 30 years post qualification experience, a vast majority of which was gained in the offshore industry. After first qualifying as a solicitor in the City of London, Chris moved to the Caribbean in 1989 working in private practice and specialising as a corporate, banking, investment funds and private client lawyer.
He became a partner of the BVI law firm ‘Smith-Hughes, Raworth and Mckenzie’ in 1993 and managing / senior partner of the firm in 1997 until 2004, when the firm merged with Maples and Calder.
Chris now permanently substantial time in the BVI, Dubai and London.
Chris acts as an independent director for companies, investment funds and other investment vehicles established in the BVI.
